Google Flights
Google Flights allows you to enter your departure airport and see flights all over the world on a map, so you can determine where the cheapest destination is. It is a good search engine for getting ideas about routes, connections, and fares.
Finding Accommodation
Hostelworld
It is the best hostel-accommodation site on the market with the widest range of options, the best search interface, and the highest availability. I use it for all my hostel bookings. There aren't many options compared to the scale this site has.
Booking.com
Booking.com probably has the widest range of budget accommodation options in the world. However, it is banned in Turkey. In my research abroad, it consistently finds the cheapest rooms. I also like its easy-to-use interface and its policy of allowing you to book without paying. 
Agoda
This website should be your primary accommodation website for hostels and hotels in Asia. It has the most robust inventory and offers the best rates. I always use this website when I travel in Asia. It is simply the best.
Hostel Pass
This new card gives you up to 20% off at hostels across Europe. It is a great way to save money. New hostels are also being added constantly. I had always wanted something like this and am happy that it finally exists.
Travel Insurance
SafetyWing
Safety Wing offers convenient and affordable plans suitable for travelers and digital nomads. It has cheap monthly plans, first-class customer service, and an easy-to-use claims process that makes it perfect for those on the road. I use them to protect me on all my travels.
InsureMyTrip
Insure My Trip is an aggregator that helps you compare prices so you can buy the one that is best for you. If you are 70 or older, use InsureMyTrip. Since many companies have age limits, they can find a plan for you because they know where to look.

Rental Cars is a car rental aggregator that can help you find the best deals for your next trip. It lists car information from over 60,000 rental locations and 170 countries to ensure you always find a great deal.
Rome 2 Rio
This website shows you how to get from point A to point B in the best and cheapest way possible. Just enter your departure and arrival points; it will provide all the bus, train, flight, or ferry routes that can get you there, along with their prices.
BlaBlaCar
BlaBlaCar allows you to share rides with vetted local drivers in exchange for chipping in for gas. You just request a seat, they approve you, and you're off! It’s a cheap and much more interesting way to get from point A to point B than by bus or train!
International Drivers Association
The International Drivers Association helps travelers obtain an International Driving Permit, a document required to drive in over 165 countries worldwide. They also have all sorts of tips and driving guides on their website!
Job Resources
Worldpackers
Worldpackers offers travelers the chance to find volunteer experiences abroad (just like Workaway and HelpX). In addition to hostels, they can help you find experiences with NGOs, homestays, and eco-projects all over the world!
myTEFL
myTEFL offers standard TEFL programs, but they also help you find a job and provide 6 months of additional access to their materials to use once you start teaching.
Helpx
HelpX is one of the best places to find work and volunteer opportunities while traveling. It includes farm stays, homestays, B&Bs, hostels, and sailboats that invite volunteers for short-term stays in exchange for food and accommodation.
WorkAway
This is another great job-finding site! Workaway is very similar to HelpX, but this website has more paid job opportunities (though there are volunteer positions as well).
WWOOF
WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) is a program that connects you with farms all over the world where you can work in exchange for room and board. A great resource for those traveling on a long-term budget!
