How Families and Retirees Can Travel More Comfortably

travel tips for families and retirees

Family travel requires more planning (and more money) than solo travel, but that doesn't make it impossible. Many families are able to take long-term, high-quality trips on very little money. "Retiree" travel also comes with a unique set of challenges, ranging from comfort to health concerns. As a single 30-year-old, there is a lot I don't know about these two aspects of travel. Although I believe these two types of travel are not so different from the way I travel, I have brought you knowledgeable people and experts!

In this section, you will find;

a) that we are never too old to explore, learn, and travel

b) numerous interviews and guest posts showing that you can take your family on that dream vacation or world tour adventure.

Resources

My favorite travel resources

Below are my favorite companies to use when traveling. They are always my starting point whenever I need to book a flight, accommodation, tour, or car rental!

Skyscanner – Skyscanner is my favorite flight search engine. It searches small websites and budget airlines that big search sites often miss. It is definitely the number one place to start.

Google Flights – Google Flights finds incredible flight deals. If you are flexible with dates and destinations, you can snag great deals and save hundreds of dollars in the process!

Hostelworld – This is the best hostel booking site; it offers the largest inventory, the best search interface, and the widest availability.

Booking.com – The best overall booking site. It consistently provides the cheapest and lowest rates and has the widest range of budget accommodation options. In all my tests, it has always been the site that provides the cheapest prices.

Get Your Guide – This is a great online marketplace for tours and excursions. It offers many tour options in cities around the world, from cooking classes and walking tours to street art lessons!

Safetywing – This site offers suitable and affordable plans for digital nomads and long-term travelers. With cheap monthly plans, great customer service, and an easy-to-use claims process, it is perfect for those on the road.

Rental Cars – Rental Cars is a car rental aggregator that can help you find the best deals for your next trip. It pulls data from over 60,000 car rental locations to ensure you always find a great deal!

WorkAway – A platform that connects you with people who need help. In exchange for doing the assigned tasks, you get free accommodation.

Airalo – Allows you to connect to the internet via eSIM no matter where you are in the world.
