I finally made it to Ordu and was able to explore it to my heart's content, and I tried to show this beautiful city to you all as well. We set out on a delightful exploration amidst Ordu's unique nature and historical sites. In this article, I will share with you the experiences I had in Ordu and the pleasant conversation we had with Vonali Celal.
Journey to Cape Yason
When we arrived in Ordu, our first destination with Hatice was Cape Yason, located 22 km from the city center. Cape Yason offers one of the most beautiful views of the Black Sea and is home to the historic Yason Church. While touring the church, we had the opportunity to see the region's historical and cultural riches up close. The church captivated us with its historical texture and unique architecture.
Crossing to Hoynat Island
After Cape Yason, we moved on to Hoynat Island. Hoynat Island is an excellent place for birdwatching and is also a fantastic destination for nature lovers. The island's natural beauty and tranquility make it an ideal escape for those who want to get away from the stress of city life.
Meeting Vonali Celal
During our trip to Ordu, we met a teacher from Ordu and began chatting with him about the history of the city. However, our teacher directed us to Vonali Celal, and we immediately acted on this recommendation. Vonali Celal is known as the owner of a fish restaurant overlooking the Black Sea and is also someone who knows the history of Ordu very well.
The History of Ordu and Vonali Celal’s Accounts
When we met with Vonali Celal, he welcomed us warmly and immediately won us over with his hospitality. While sitting in his restaurant, we listened to the history of Ordu from Vonali Celal against the magnificent backdrop of the Black Sea. It was a great pleasure to hear from him how Ordu has changed from the past to the present and to learn about important historical events.
Vonali Celal also shared his special pickle recipe with us. We were delighted to discover this delicious aspect of Black Sea cuisine.
This wonderful day we spent in Ordu allowed us to discover the beauties of both nature and history. Vonali Celal's hospitality and historical narrations made this trip even more special. I hope the video we prepared was entertaining and informative for you as well.
