After Kazakhstan, our next stop was Uzbekistan, and the impressions we gathered about this country were quite interesting. When we first set foot in Uzbekistan, we were told that those with beards wouldn't be allowed in, but we left these rumors behind and started exploring the country. In this post, I will share the transformation Uzbekistan has undergone and the 3 things everyone here knows about Turkey: Celal Kebapçı, Sarp, and Çukur!
Transformation in Uzbekistan: New Beginnings
When we arrived in Uzbekistan, we noticed that significant changes were taking place in the country. About a year ago, the president changed, and the new leader began to modernize Uzbekistan. He abolished visas, opened borders to improve trade, and withdrew bans on beards. The improvements made to the roads and the developing infrastructure indicate that Uzbekistan will be a much more beautiful country in the future.

Another thing that caught my attention in Uzbekistan is the great interest in Turkey here. However, what surprised me most was that the things the Uzbek people know most about Turkey are famous TV series and characters. Here are the 3 things everyone in Uzbekistan knows:

Celal Kebapçı: One of the characters from Turkey's famous series "İçerde," Celal Kebapçı, has a large fanbase in Uzbekistan. The influence of the series is felt here as well.

Sarp: Again, the main character of the "İçerde" series, Sarp, is a frequently mentioned name in Uzbekistan. Among those who watch the series, Sarp's courage and story inspire admiration.

Çukur: "Çukur," one of Turkey's popular series, has found a wide audience in Uzbekistan as well. The Uzbek people show great interest in the series' story and characters.

The time I spent in Uzbekistan was very valuable in terms of seeing how quickly the country is transforming both politically and culturally. Turkey's pop culture has found a wide resonance in Uzbekistan, which has strengthened the cultural ties between the two countries. I believe Uzbekistan will continue to develop in the future, and I look forward to continuing to explore this country.
