First Day in Kazakhstan: Street Art and Earning Experience in Aktau
Hello, I am Oğuzhan Tıraş. I have arrived at the Kazakhstan leg of my world tour and I want to share my first day in Aktau with you. In Kazakhstan, one of the independent Turkic states of Central Asia, where the Dollar is worth approximately 350 KZT, I tried earning money by playing the ukulele on the street. In this article, I will describe the experiences I gained by earning 70 dollars during the two days I spent in Aktau.
First Day in Aktau: Exploring Central Asia
Kazakhstan is a country known for the vast steppes and rich culture of Central Asia. When I first stepped into the city of Aktau, I was curious about what my time here would offer me. In this country where the Dollar corresponds to approximately 350 KZT, I decided to try street art to earn some money.
Earning Money by Playing Ukulele on the Street
I took my ukulele and went out to the streets of Aktau to reach people with my music. During this process, I experienced the interest of the Kazakh people in music and their hospitality. I played on the streets for two days, and during this time, I managed to earn 70 dollars. This was an important start to exploring Central Asia and provided the resources necessary for me to continue my world tour.

These first days I spent in Aktau showed how unique and culturally rich Central Asia is.
