After being a guest at Rıdvan's house in Batumi, my friends set off for Tbilisi. I, on the other hand, decided to go from Batumi to Poti. Hitchhiking is a very common and safe method in Georgia, so I didn't hesitate to embark on this adventure.
Hitchhiking to Poti
As I set off from Batumi towards Poti, I got into a Georgian girl's car. We had a great conversation throughout the trip and became good friends in a short time. The hospitality and warmth of the Georgian people impressed me once again. During this journey, I experienced once again that hitchhiking is both full of adventure and a great opportunity to meet people.
Meeting Seren and Aris in Poti
When I arrived in Poti, I met my friend Seren and her son Aris. Seren guided me in discovering Poti. A small, quiet city, Poti is located on Georgia's Black Sea coast and draws attention with its historical texture.
The Khachapuri Experience
Since I had come to Georgia, it wouldn't have been right not to try Khachapuri, one of the country's famous dishes. Together with Seren, we sat down at a local restaurant and ate Khachapuri. We also had the opportunity to learn how Khachapuri is made. Experiencing the perfect harmony of Georgian cheese and fresh dough made this trip unforgettable.
